If you don’t take the time to do the research, you might just miss some of the most beautiful places. One of these places, which sounds like an unusual vacation spot but is actually gorgeous, is Cannon Beach in Oregon.
Cannon Beach is a Pacific coast beach that is only about 90 minutes outside of Portland, Oregon. The sand along the coast is very hard making it easy to walk on. This allows couples to go for long walks on the beach during the beautiful West coast sunsets. The shoreline stretches just over 9 miles long and all 9 miles are backed with scenic beauty. Its perfect for newlyweds to celebrate their new life together or for men who are looking for somewhere beautiful to purpose. You couldn’t dream up a better setting with its earthy, beach-like undertone and beautiful sunsets.
Not only does the Cannon Beach shoreline attract many tourists, there are also indescribably beautiful trails. Ecola State Park is famous for hoarding the Emerald Forest where there are many different trails to walk through. The Emerald Forest also holds Sitka Spruce trees that are over 300 years old. Their trunks are typically as wide as Redwoods. After exploring the forest, the trails will lead you out of the woods and into the pink sandy shorelines. Many tourists will set up camp in Emerald Forest, along with many other spots in Cannon Beach. The panoramic views are next-to-impossible to replicate with any other setting. If you head down the trails that lead you a bit South, you will run right into Bay City where fishing is a big attraction.
Fishing in Bay City will allow you to not only snag the best fish in the sea, but it will also bring you closer to restaurants that will have the freshest seafood around. The most recommended place in town is Pacific Oyster where they are famous for their oysters on the half shell. The oysters that they serve the Kumamoto oyster and they are plucked right from the Pacific Ocean.
Haystack Rock is another huge attraction in Oregon. This allows tourists to see so much of the natural wildlife that exists in Oregon and it is one of their finest treasures. There are actually over 2000 birds that nest on this rock every single year. Its also important to be very careful by these birds because they are easily disturbed by humans. If a human disturbs them, the mother birds may abandon their nests. However, its very easy to catch all the beauty without getting too close.
